How we protect your documents
When you open a PDF with CompilaPDF, the document stays on your device. We do not receive a copy, read what you enter or retain your signature.

The PDF is not uploaded
The file is opened and edited directly by your browser. Text, ticks and your signature are added on the device you are using, without passing through CompilaPDF's servers.
When you have finished, the browser creates a new copy to download. The original stays where it was, and you choose where to save the completed document.

Open the document from your computer or phone.
- 02
Fill it in using your browser

What we can see
We may know that a page was visited or a button was used. This information helps us understand whether the site works and which parts are most useful.
We do not receive the PDF, the file name, entered details, imported images or the signature. Analytics are not required to fill in a document: if they are blocked, the editor continues to work.
You can also use it without a connection
After your first visit, the browser can store the app and some public templates. This lets you reopen CompilaPDF and work even when you do not have an internet connection.
Your documents are not placed in the site's cache. CompilaPDF is not an archive: keep the original and the completed copy in a secure location yourself.
The site uses a secure connection
CompilaPDF always uses HTTPS, the same protection shown by the padlock in your browser. The site also applies rules that limit external connections and prevent unauthorised content from loading.
These protections reduce risks while you use the site, but they cannot secure a phone or computer that is already compromised.
You can protect your documents too
Use an up-to-date, trusted device, especially for identity documents, health information or signatures. Always check the recipient before sending a PDF, and do not leave sensitive copies in shared folders.
CompilaPDF protects the document while it is in the editor, but it cannot control browser extensions, viruses, automatic backups or what happens to the file after download. For questions or reports, email info@compilapdf.it.
Would you like to check the technical details?
You do not need this information to use CompilaPDF, but it lets anyone who wishes to verify the stated protections directly.
- The Content-Security-Policy permits connections only to the site itself and to gateway.umami.is for analytics; no external PDF-processing services are authorised.
- HSTS with includeSubDomains and preload enforces HTTPS on the domain and compatible subdomains.
- The service worker stores the app and some public templates, but does not add PDFs chosen from the device or exported PDFs to its cache.
- Open your browser's Developer Tools and the Network tab, fill in a test PDF and check that the document is not sent anywhere.
